The
Hickman County Democratic Party has scheduled an event to celebrate Pete Springer Day. He was a long-time state Senator from Lyles, Tennessee. Tickets to the June 19 BBQ dinner are $10 and all candidates for any office are invited to join in the festivities. It is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the East Hickman Community Center on Highway 100.
Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, Pete was a "good ole boy." that lived near my parents for many years and no matter where I saw him, he would always take the time to ask about my folks.
If you want to hear a lot of bull, I think that you will hear plenty of it at this event.
